Job summary

Diversified Maintenance in the United States is hiring an Area Manager to supervise janitorial staff at assigned sites, ensuring quality service within budget and achieving customer satisfaction.

You will participate in hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management, while maintaining open communication with customers and field staff to drive service excellence across multiple accounts. Some travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of management experience in a service-related industry, preferably janitorial.
• Business-level oral and written communication skills; fluent English.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
• Ability to lead, encourage teamwork, negotiate, and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Select and place janitorial personnel; manage hiring and performance reviews.
• Champion the company's values and people culture.
• Assign duties, inspect work for quality, and review performance.
• Manage labor budgets and schedules to stay within budget.
• Conduct new hire orientation and safety training.
• Prepare time sheets, reports, training records, and work orders.
• Foster open communication and coach employees.
• Build relationships with customers by visiting sites.
• Address issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Document customer contacts and follow up on concerns.
• Monitor accounts for additional work opportunities.
• Ensure Quality Control site visits are completed.
• Spend time at sites to support outcomes.
