Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking an Area Manager to supervise janitorial staff at multiple sites. You will ensure quality service, stay within budget, and drive customer satisfaction through proactive supervision and timely delivery of services.

The role requires management experience, strong communication, and leadership to coach staff and develop teams while maintaining excellent client relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of management experience in a service-related industry.
• Business level oral and written communication in English.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
• Ability to lead, coach and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee janitorial staff at assigned sites and ensure quality service.
• Maintain customer satisfaction within budget and timelines.
• Select and place personnel; conduct performance appraisals and development plans.
• Review work for cleanliness and quality; set schedules within labor budget.
• Coordinate safety training, new hire paperwork, and training records.
• Build relationships with customers by visiting accounts regularly.
• Monitor accounts for new work opportunities and contract expansion.
• Ensure site quality control visits are completed and recorded.
