Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Area Manager to oversee several multifamily communities under Regional Manager guidance. You’ll manage personnel, leasing, maintenance, finances, and risk across sites, with travel 25-50% annually.

Requirements include a high school diploma or higher, with a bachelor’s degree or 4+ years in housing preferred. CAM/ARM certification is a plus; strong software skills and OSHA knowledge are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years experience in the housing industry; or 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements

Responsibilities

• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff
• Ensure staff training and compliance with Asset training benchmarks
• Prepare staff schedules and assignments; manage performance issues
• Monitor budgets, forecasting, and financial reports
• Develop annual marketing plans and leasing strategies
• Provide exceptional customer service and supervise maintenance responsiveness
• Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate maintenance and repairs

Education
