Job summary

H&R Block seeks an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, consultative client experience and strong operational execution. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, drive performance, and align staffing, facilities, and compliance with business goals.

As a hands-on leader, you’ll travel frequently to maintain in-person presence, develop bench strength, and deliver measurable client outcomes and revenue growth across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading teams in a multi-unit environment with performance accountability.
• Ability to coach and develop teams to achieve client-focused results.
• Track record of driving business and financial results while managing day-to-day operations across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4-6 assigned offices, ensuring standards are executed with discipline and consistency.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations, using insights to reinforce strengths and address gaps.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors with client-centric leadership in the office.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals by setting clear expectations and coaching for consistent performance.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors and performance outcomes to strengthen team execution.
• Identify patterns across offices, address performance gaps, and develop bench strength and high-potential talent.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices; monitor metrics and drive actions.
• Ensure daily operations are executed across offices including staffing, scheduling, compliance, and SOPs.
• Own office readiness, facilities, equipment, supplies, recruiting, onboarding, and seasonal planning.
