Job summary

Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Area Director for the Plymouth Area Office to provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of DDS services. You will guide administrative, clinical, programmatic, and financial operations, including a multi-million-dollar budget, contract management, and resource allocation for residential, day, and employment services.

• Senior-level leadership and management experience in human services or related field.
• Experience overseeing multi-functional operations and complex budgets.
• Knowledge of person-centered services and community-based supports.
• Ability to collaborate with state agencies, providers, and stakeholders.
• Strong judgment, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administrative, clinical, programmatic, personnel, contractual, and fiscal operations.
• Manage a multi-million-dollar budget and provider contracting.
• Ensure 24-hour emergency on-call capacity for high-risk situations.
• Liaise with families, providers, officials, and partners to coordinate services.
• Plan and evaluate services, allocate resources, and oversee ISP processes.
• Lead staff development and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
