Job summary

Workstream is seeking an experienced District Manager – Multi-Unit for fast casual dining to oversee multiple restaurant locations in Portland, ME. This role drives operational excellence, leadership development, and consistent guest experiences while maximizing financial performance.

You will coach managers, build a leadership pipeline, monitor KPIs, and ensure adherence to company standards to improve profitability across locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-unit district-level management in restaurant or food service.
• Proven ability to develop leadership and improve guest satisfaction.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze sales, labor and costs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

A large and rapidly growing casual dining franchisee is seeking an experienced Area Coach (District Manager) to oversee multiple restaurant locations. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, developing leadership talent, ensuring consistent guest experiences, and maximizing financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Talent Development

• Recruit, coach, and develop Restaurant Managers and Assistant Managers
• Build a strong leadership pipeline and succession plan across locations
• Hold management teams accountable for performance and results

Operational Excellence

• Ensure consistent execution of company standards, including food safety, quality, and facility maintenance
• Drive operational improvements through adherence to systems and processes
• Lead the rollout and execution of new products and initiatives

Guest Experience

• Ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience across all locations
• Respond promptly and effectively to guest concerns
• Coach teams to exceed guest expectations
• Analyze sales, labor, and cost trends to identify opportunities
• Develop and execute strategies to improve profitability
• Establish and monitor key performance metrics (KPIs)

Performance Management

• Set clear expectations and measurable goals for each location
• Track and improve employee satisfaction, retention, and engagement
• Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of multi-unit or district-level experience in restaurant or food service management
• Proven track record of:
