Job summary

Buffalo Lodging Associates, a Canton, MA–based hotel management company, seeks an Area Assistant General Manager for the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton-Buffalo Downtown. You will support GMs, lead hotel teams, and uphold the company values of Excellence, Passion, Integrity, and Inclusion.

The role focuses on overseeing hotel operations, guest services, and staff leadership, with responsibilities spanning front desk, rooms, F&B, and administrative duties. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Two years related management experience and hotel brand knowledge.
• Extensive experience with rooms, housekeeping and food and beverage.
• Working knowledge of hotel operations—security, HR relations, QA, long-range planning.
• Bachelor's degree in hotel management, business, or related field; or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Expertise in standard hotel management systems.
• Hands-on leadership.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Manage hotel operations when needed.
• Oversee facility operations including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, F&B and HR.
• Manage front office operations and supervise front desk and F&B staff.
• Resolve guest concerns while maintaining high franchise Guest Service scores.
• Foster a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management.
• Supervisory duties: hiring, training, evaluating performance, rewarding and coaching employees; directing work and resolving concerns.
• Administrative tasks such as reporting, inventories, and accounting processes.
