Job summary

NANA Worley seeks a Rotational Start-up Engineer to provide field support from pre-IFA through construction and post-construction. The role is based on North Slope Alaska with a 12-hour shift and a 2-week rotation, reporting to the Facility Engineer Supervisor in Anchorage.

Responsibilities include walk downs, commissioning start-up traceability, RFIs, procurement assistance, MOC management, and safety- and documentation-forward turnover processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering
  • Two years of Oil & Gas experience or five years in the industry may be considered
  • Experience in North Slope Alaska is preferred
  • Ability to read basic P&ID and perform walk downs
  • Independent work capability with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Walk down P&IDs to ensure accuracy or resolve discrepancies
  • Project walk downs and sign-off for mechanical completions
  • Complete commissioning, startup, and Operations turnover forms
  • Provide engineering technical support and constructability feedback to Operations
  • Track and manage RFIs to communicate design changes to Operations
  • Assist with procurement to identify vendor support and spares
  • Create and manage MOCs for all operation phases and assign tasks
  • Audit PHAs and PPRs to address issues before startup
  • Evaluate field changes for PHA impact
  • Develop commissioning and startup plans and Preventative Maintenance
  • Ensure documentation flow before turnover
  • Track punch lists to completion per Operations standards
  • Coordinate with Automation for FCO schedules
  • Verify operator set-points with Operators and Automation Engineers
  • Other project close-out duties as needed
