Job summary

NANA Worley is seeking a Rotational Start-up Engineer to provide field support on projects from pre-IFA through turnover in North Slope Alaska. The role reports to the Facility Engineer Supervisor in Anchorage and involves 12-hour shifts on a 2-week rotation, with on-site collaboration across Operations, Maintenance, Design, and Construction.

Responsibilities include P&ID walkdowns, signing off mechanical completions, commissioning planning, RFIs tracking, and close collaboration with Operators

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and two years of experience is required; or five years oil/gas experience may be considered.
  • North Slope Alaska experience preferred; Arctic/cold weather experience is a plus.
  • Read basic P&ID and perform field walk downs; basic engineering knowledge expected.
  • Familiar with industry codes, standards and practices relevant to oil & gas.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Walk down P&IDs to ensure accuracy or resolve discrepancies.
  • Lead project walk downs and sign-off for mechanical completions.
  • Prepare forms for commissioning, startup, and turnover to Operations.
  • Provide engineering support and constructability feedback to Operations.
  • Track RFIs and design changes to inform Operations.
  • Assist procurement to identify vendor support and spares.
  • Create and manage MOCs for all operation phases and assign tasks.
  • Audit PHAs and PPRs to address issues before startup.
  • Evaluate field changes to assess impact on PHA.
  • Develop commissioning, startup, and preventive maintenance plans.
  • Ensure documentation flow before turnover.
  • Track punch lists and close items per Operations standards.
  • Coordinate with Automation for information and FCO scheduling.
  • Verify operator set-points with Board Operators and Automation Engineers.
