Job summary

NANA Worley is seeking a Rotational Start-up Engineer to provide field support across Operations, Maintenance, Design, and Construction from pre-IFA through construction to turnover in North Slope Alaska. The role reports to the Facility Engineer Supervisor in Anchorage and involves on-site coordination with the Projects team, Project Lead, and Facility Engineer to progress tasks on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with two years of experience, or five years in Oil & Gas industry.
  • At least one year of experience in North Slope Alaska is preferred.
  • Familiarity with North Slope Alaska facilities including drill sites is preferred.
  • Experience in Arctic or cold-weather environments is preferred.
  • Ability to read basic P&IDs and perform walk downs.

Responsibilities

  • Walk down P&IDs to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Lead project walk downs and sign-off for mechanical completions.
  • Prepare commissioning, startup, and Operations turnover forms.
  • Provide engineering support and constructability feedback to Operations.
  • Track RFIs and communicate design changes to Operations.
  • Assist procurement to identify vendors, quotes, and spares.
  • Create and manage MOCs for all operation phases and assign tasks.
  • Audit PHAs and PPRs to ensure issues are addressed before startup.
  • Evaluate field changes to assess impact on PHA.
  • Develop commissioning and startup plans and Preventative Maintenance for Operations.
  • Ensure documentation flow is complete prior to turnover.
  • Track punch lists and close items per Operations standards.
  • Coordinate with Automation to share required information and FCO schedule.
  • Verify operator-setpoints with Board Operators and Automation Engineers.
  • Mark up drawings as needed and support troubleshooting post-startup.
