Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking an Architectural Sales Representative to drive specifications for door openings in the Los Angeles County area. You will build relationships with design teams, educate on ASSA ABLOY solutions, and promote the Openings Studio BIM tool to support project outcomes.

You will travel up to 80% to client sites and maintain strong product knowledge across a full range of opening solutions, while collaborating with a nationwide team of consultants to ensure customer satisfaction and

Qualifications

• College/university degree in architectural, design/engineering/drafting, construction management, business, or equivalent.
• 2–3 years industry experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or Design-Build construction management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
• Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strategic relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers.
• Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications.
• Provide timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications.
• Deliver targeted continuing educational programs highlighting new products, solutions, and design-assist professional services.
• Assist with product substitution and approval procedures and follow up to ensure specifications are held in the bid process.
• Utilize Salesforce.com as a customer relationship, project tracking and time management tool.
