Job summary

Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) is seeking a mid-career Architect - Design III in a hybrid Chicago environment. You will lead design initiatives across market sectors, mentor staff, and collaborate with engineers and consultants to advance projects from concept through construction.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with licensure, strong graphic and presentation skills, and proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Architecture (4-year) degree required.
• Architecture licensure required.
• 6 years+ experience in A/E industry.
• LEED AP and/or WELL AP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design initiatives across market sectors and project phases.
• Develop project concepts and implement design in response to goals.
• Research codes and ordinance implications for assigned projects.
• Conduct material and product research for project development.
• Create presentations, reports, and 3D representations of ideas.
• Coordinate with discipline leads and attend project meetings as needed.
• Review submittals during bidding and construction administration.
• Use generative design and automation tools with Rhino and Revit.
