Harley Ellis Devereaux Corporation is seeking an Architectural Designer III to join our PreK-12 Education practice, supporting Sacramento, San Francisco Bay Area, and Los Angeles offices. This mid-level role assists project teams from early design through construction under supervision, increasingly autonomously with guidance from senior staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required and licensure in progress.
Experience delivering California PreK-12 educational facilities is required.
Proficiency in Revit is required.

Responsibilities

Lead planning and coordination of the architectural scope of work with the Project Manager.
Produce and manage coordinated construction documents meeting quality standards and code compliance.
Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants for design integrity across disciplines.
Support code interpretation and regulatory compliance with AHJs for permitting.
Conduct material and building systems research to inform detailing.
Oversee construction administration activities (RFIs, submittals, field reports) under senior leadership.
May serve as Architect of Record and sign/seal documents as appropriate.
Provide technical mentorship to junior staff and help develop standards.
