Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking an Architectural Designer II to independently perform a range of architectural assignments for medium to large projects. The role supports design development, documentation, and coordination with project teams, under limited supervision.

Required are NAAB-accredited degrees (B.Arch/M.Arch) and 6+ years of experience, with proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Enscape, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe CC. Travel to project sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• NAAB-accredited architecture degree required.
• 6+ years of related architecture experience.
• Proficiency with design and BIM software.
• Knowledge of building codes and sustainability.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced architectural concepts and design methods to develop quality design solutions.
• Prepare architectural drawings and construction documents per standards, codes and sustainability requirements.
• Utilize Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe CC to develop drawings and visualizations.
• Develop and coordinate architectural specifications with construction documents.
• Conduct code research and summarize requirements for design decisions.
• Assist in client presentations and meeting documentation and follow-up tasks.
• Perform quality control reviews for design accuracy and documentation quality.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced staff.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and growth within the firm.
