Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Senior Architectural Designer III to independently deliver design solutions for medium to large projects. You will provide technical leadership, produce drawings and models, and present design concepts to clients.

Collaboration with designers and staff across disciplines is essential to meet codes and project goals. Qualified candidates bring a NAAB-accredited degree, 10+ years of experience, and strong BIM proficiency.

Qualifications

• NAAB-accredited B.Arch or M.Arch degree required.
• At least 10 years of architecture experience with medium to large projects.
• Minimum 2+ years leading project teams and client coordination.
• Proficient in CAD/graphics software and BIM workflows.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, sustainability, and programming.

Responsibilities

• Participate in concept design and provide full project support.
• Develop architectural drawings, construction documents, and visualizations.
• Lead technical viewpoints and coordinate solutions with leadership.
• Coordinate specifications to align with docs and requirements.
• Prepare client presentations and design deliverables.
• Mentor junior staff and support ongoing professional growth.
• May lead BIM coordination and workflow improvement on projects.
