Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. is seeking an Architect II to independently perform advanced architectural assignments from concept through construction. You will support large projects, provide technical guidance, lead defined technical aspects, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires a licensed architect with 7+ years of experience and strong proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Cloud. A proactive, collaborative mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an NAAB accredited Architecture program.
• Minimum of 7+ years of architectural design experience.
• Professional Architect License.
• Advanced proficiency with CAD software such as Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Advanced knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Knowledge of architectural specifications and their relation to construction documents.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced design aspects to major projects with strong technical solutions.
• Prepare architectural drawings and construction documentation.
• Create drawings, models, and visualizations with BIM and design software.
• Review specifications to ensure alignment with documents and codes.
• Write reports and specifications for project deliverables.
• Conduct code research and apply findings to design decisions.
• Lead client presentations and coordinate meetings.
• Provide mentoring and QA/QC support to staff.
