Job summary

Richelieu is seeking an Architecture & Design Specification Representative to gather specifications from architects and designers and expand market awareness of the Richelieu brand across the five boroughs of New York. The role involves field visits three to four days per week, travel in the NY area, and close coordination with local sales teams.

You will nurture relationships with A&D professionals, gather specifications for decorative hardware, lighting, and premium panels, and stay current on

Qualifications

• Successful experience as a Specification Representative or Designer.
• Ability to schedule and manage your own time, delivering on the activities that produce results.
• Proactive, high energy, coachable, strong work ethic.
• Developed design, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience in CRM software.
• University degree in Design is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Continuously develop and nurture strong relationships with architects and designers.
• Schedule and hold face-to-face as well as virtual meetings with new and existing clients.
• Gather and secure specifications in product categories including decorative hardware, lighting, sliding door hardware, laminate, solid surface, quartz, and premium panels.
• Identify and analyze past specification patterns of current accounts and brainstorm ways to become their stronger supplier.
• Provide educational training on products and industry developments to the A&D community.
