Job summary

Richelieu Hardware Ltd seeks an Architecture & Design Specification Representative to expand market awareness and drive sales in the five NYC boroughs and Long Island. You will coordinate with local sales, gather specifications, and build relationships with architects and designers.

The role requires field visits three to four days per week, a valid vehicle, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. CRM proficiency and a design background are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Specification Representative or Designer is preferred.
• Ability to manage time and deliver results independently.
• Proactive, energetic, coachable with strong work ethic.
• CRM software proficiency and strong design/organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with architects and designers.
• Schedule and conduct face-to-face and virtual meetings with clients.
• Gather and secure specifications across product categories (decorative hardware, lighting, panels).
• Analyze past specification patterns to expand supplier relationships.
• Provide product education to the A&D community.
• Deliver excellent customer service and position Richelieu as a one-stop-shop.
• Stay updated on Richelieu offerings and market conditions; use CRM effectively.
• Travel to customers three to four days per week; have own transport.
• May require lifting items up to 50 pounds.
