Job summary

Stantec in Charlottesville, VA, seeks a licensed architect to lead design teams on diverse architectural projects. You will develop designs, coordinate with consultants, and prepare construction documents using BIM tools while ensuring code compliance and project quality.

You will mentor staff, participate in design critiques, and travel as needed to collaborate with clients and contractors. A RA/licensure is required, LEED preferred, and extensive experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 5–7 years of similar experience.
• Registered Architect (RA/AIA/NCARB) licensure is REQUIRED for consideration
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects of varied complexity.
• Develop design through sketches, modeling, diagrams, massing studies.
• Utilize BIM technologies in development of project models and complete construction documents
• Independently perform a variety of assignments at all architectural design stages.
• Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate with internal team members and external consultants, owner, contractor and sub-contractors.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and prepare site observation reports.
• Participate in constructability reviews and quality assurance/controls.
