Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Architect to join our Architecture team in Charlottesville with opportunities to work on projects in Annapolis and beyond. You will lead design development, BIM modeling, and documentation across multiple projects while mentoring others.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture, 5–7 years of experience, and active RA/AIA/NCARB licensure. Travel domestically and internationally is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture required.
5–7 years of similar experience.
Registered Architect licensure required.
LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Lead development of design proposals and BIM models.
Prepare construction documents and site plans.
Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants.
Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
Mentor junior staff and ensure QA/QC.
Ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
Participate in design critiques and client presentations.
