Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Project Architect / Architectural Designer to join the Cleveland practice. You will work independently to develop fiscally responsible, cutting-edge designs and lead integrated proposals while updating building information models and project drawings.

Licensure is preferred but not required, and collaboration across teams is essential. You will coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors, lead design critiques, ensure code compliance, and mentor junior

Qualifications

• 5+ years of architectural project experience.
• Licensure is preferred but not required.
• Experience with BIM, building codes and design development.

Responsibilities

• Lead large projects of high complexity and manage project teams.
• Develop designs through sketches, models, diagrams and massing studies.
• Utilize BIM for 3D models of buildings and components.
• Prepare documentation in various architectural phases.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and prepare site observation reports.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams including owners and contractors.
• Participate in constructability reviews and value analyses.
