Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company invites applications for an Arborist Trainee Internship in Annapolis, MD. This on-site internship starts in Spring-Summer 2027 and offers hands-on field work alongside experienced Arborists and Landscape professionals to develop essential climbing, pruning, and plant health care skills.

Expect 40-50 hours per week with a pay rate of $22–$23 per hour. Internships include comprehensive safety gear, training, and career development opportunities across our four service

Qualifications

Studying Arboriculture or related discipline.
Demonstrated enthusiasm for proper plant care and arboriculture.
Willingness to learn and report to work regularly and punctually.

Responsibilities

Learn to be a tree professional by working with experienced Arborists and landscape professionals.
Perform tree pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, and maintenance tasks.
Assist in tree and landscape installation and safe operation of field tools.
Support Plant Health Care activities including deep root fertilization and soil care.
Engage in client service, sales, and leadership fundamentals.
