Job summary

Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking an Arborist Trainee Intern in Baltimore, MD for Spring–Summer 2027. The program offers hands-on field experience alongside experienced arborists, climbers and plant health care professionals.

You will learn tree care, safety, and customer service while supporting a busy residential service team. The internship runs 40–50 hours per week with a pay rate of $22–$23 per hour.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn in a field-based internship.
• Interest in tree care and landscape maintenance.
• Ability to work as part of a team in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist arborists in pruning, removal, cabling, bracing and maintenance tasks.
• Support tree and landscape installation projects.
• Operate field equipment safely under supervision.
• Assist with plant health care tasks and routine care.
