Job summary

Chirp, headquartered in Lehi, Utah, is seeking an AR Specialist to own the full AR cycle for major retail accounts and ensure timely cash flow. You will manage deductions, chargebacks, and retailer portals, partnering with Sales and Logistics to drive process improvements and cleaner closings.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years AR experience in CPG, advanced Excel skills, and a proven track record with large retailers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years accounts receivable experience, ideally in CPG or consumer products.
• Hands-on experience managing receivables with large retailers.
• Strong working knowledge of deduction management and retailer vendor portals.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).
• High attention to detail and a habit of following things through to resolution.
• Clear, confident communicator with internal teams and retail partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the full AR cycle — invoicing, cash application, collections, and account reconciliation.
• Manage receivables for large retail accounts, including retailer vendor portals and EDI remittances.
• Research, validate, and dispute retailer deductions and chargebacks (compliance fines, shortages, promotions).
• Track and report on aging, DSO, open deductions, and recovery rates.
• Apply payments accurately and resolve unapplied cash and short-pays quickly.
• Support month-end close with AR reconciliations and accruals.
• Partner with Sales, Ops, and Logistics to trace root causes of deductions and help prevent repeats.
• Build and document AR processes as we scale — and spot ways to make them faster and cleaner.
