Chief of Staff Kc is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a reputable distribution company. The role focuses on cash applications, invoicing, collections, and credit evaluation, while collaborating with sales and leadership to align AR with business growth.

You will work with multiple ERP systems and MS Office tools to streamline processes. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in AR-related duties and a proactive approach to collections, risk assessment, and process automation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience handling cash applications, invoicing, collections and credit evaluation.
• Experience with a variety of ERPs, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Initiate bank deposits and process credit card transactions and ACH payments.
• Accurately record and apply cash receipts across financial systems.
• Ensure timely, accurate invoice delivery, including uploading invoices to customer portals.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment or billing discrepancies.
• Proactively follow up by phone and email to ensure timely collection of outstanding AR balances.
• Run credit checks on potential customers and assess creditworthiness.
• Monitor shifts in customer payment behavior and elevate risks as needed.
• Collaborate with sales and leadership to balance risk and revenue when extending credit.
• Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders on outstanding AR balances.
• Partner with sales to align AR with customer relationships and growth objectives.
• Adapt AR strategies in response to changes in the company’s risk tolerance.
• Assist Controller with documenting, streamlining, and automating AR processes using technology.
