Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an Accounting Assistant in Gaithersburg, MD to support daily accounts receivable operations in a fully onsite, contract-to-hire role.

You will manage full-cycle AR, process daily cash deposits, apply payments, and assist with month-end close while coordinating with internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in AR in a high-volume environment with daily cash deposits.
• Experience conducting high-volume commercial collections and resolving discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close with reconciliations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts receivable activities, including preparing and processing daily cash deposits.
• Apply customer payments accurately and investigate/resolve payment discrepancies for proper reconciliation.
• Conduct daily collections and provide bi-weekly account status reports to management.
• Process and reconcile credit card payments for proper posting to customer accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
