Job summary

Encore is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support day-to-day receivables across a growing service business. You will work with Operations, Service, and Account Management to keep billing processes accurate and cash flowing.

This hands-on role connects your work to Encore's financial health and customer satisfaction. You will train on systems like ServiceTrade, Sage, Esker during onboarding, advance to owning AR responsibilities for multiple locations, and contribute to process

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or related accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working with multiple systems.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage competing priorities.
• Curiosity to learn new AR processes, tools, and approaches.
• Team-first attitude with desire to grow within an innovative company.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and maintain aging reports with proactive follow-up.
• Partner with Operations, Account Management, and Service teams to resolve billing issues quickly.
• Identify and escalate uncollectable balances and prepare demand letters or write-offs.
• Analyze payment trends to support collections strategy and reduce DSO.
• Support process improvements, including automation and reporting enhancements.
• Handle accounting inquiries and assist with special projects for the AR team.
• Approach challenges with curiosity, collaboration, and a solution-first mindset.
