Job summary

San José State University Research Foundation is seeking an Accounts Receivable / Risk Accountant to support daily billing, collections, cash reconciliation, and month-end close using the Workday ERP system.

You will collaborate with internal departments, sponsors, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records, respond to inquiries, and strengthen internal controls and risk management processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Three years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable required.
• Experience with Workday ERP preferred, especially in AR.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable activities, including billing, collections, payment reconciliation, and aging of balances.
• Collaborate with internal departments, sponsors, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, complete records and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare AR reports, aging schedules, reconciliations, and support month-end close and management reporting.
• Support audits and compliance by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Administer risk management and insurance programs, including contract review and coverage coordination.
