Job summary

Bill Wilson Center is seeking a Staff Accountant / Billing Specialist to join the Finance team in Santa Clara County. This role will manage government contract billing, ensure timely invoicing, and support grant revenue reporting and reconciliations.

The position collaborates across departments to monitor budgets and improve financial processes. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of AR/GL experience, knowledge of Sage Intacct and Paycom, and strong Excel skills to handle high-volume billing tasks

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or GL support.
• Government grants accounting experience is highly desired.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage government contract billing and invoice data entry.
• Follow up on aged receivables and monitor contract performance.
• Support grant revenue reporting, account reconciliation and analysis.
• Assist with month-end close, audits, and regulatory or funding reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with program staff and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data.
