Job summary

Miller Manufacturing is seeking an Accounts Receivable and General Ledger Accountant to manage customer accounts, month-end close, and GL reconciliations. The role supports GAAP-compliant financial reporting and provides analysis to guide business decisions.

Position may be located in Glencoe or Eagan, with a daytime shift and on-site work. The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Accounting or related field and at least two years of accounting experience, plus proficiency in Excel and ERP

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or a related field required, with at least two years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; also proficient in Word and Outlook.
• Experience with ERP systems; Infor M3 and/or Global Spreadsheet Server preferred.
• On-the-job training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Accounts receivable activities including ensuring all customer payments are entered and posted accurately and timely, monitoring and resolving account discrepancies, and producing monthly customer statements.
• Review blocked customer orders and assess credit limits and releases based on history and balances.
• Perform month-end close tasks, general ledger reconciliations, and prepare monthly and year-end financial statements per GAAP.
• Manage collections, follow up on past-due accounts, and research/dispute chargebacks with Sales and Customer Service.
• Support accounts payable reviews, vendor data maintenance, audits, and ad hoc projects.
