Job summary

Miller Milling Co. in Eden Prairie, MN, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting operations team, oversee the monthly close, and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger. The role collaborates with grain origination, operations, and commercial teams to ensure accurate settlements and timely reporting.

You will drive technology-enabled improvements, automate routine processes, and expand Power BI reporting while mentoring a high-performing staff in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• CPA and/or CMA preferred.
• Experience in agriculture, food, or manufacturing preferred.
• Track record of improving accounting processes through technology.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems; Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Experience with GAAP and accounting software; Excel proficiency; Power BI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting operations team across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and grain procurement accounting.
• Manage monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting packages.
• Drive process improvements and automate general ledger activities; expand Power BI reporting.
• Collaborate with grain origination, operations, and commercial teams; ensure accurate settlements.
• Support audits, tax filings, and insurance-related activities; strengthen internal controls.
