Job summary

Timesavers LLC in Maple Grove, MN seeks a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting, general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, and audit support across departments.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and analytical, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Manufacturing accounting experience is preferred and proficiency in Excel is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Hands-on general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Excel (formulas, lookups, pivots) and accounting software

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support close processes and review GL activity for accuracy.
• Process accounts receivable transactions and cash receipts.
• Reconcile bank accounts and provide backup for AP/AR as needed.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with inventory and cost accounting reconciliations.
• Prepare schedules for annual audits and benefit plan audits.
• Support sales/use tax and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies and respond to inquiries across departments.
