Air Comfort Service Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to own a portfolio from invoice to cash at our West Babylon, NY office. You will ensure timely billing, resolve discrepancies, and drive cash collection through proactive communication with customers and internal teams.

The role requires 3+ years in commercial AR and collections, strong Excel and ERP skills, and a confident phone presence to negotiate payment plans while maintaining relationships.

Formación

• 3+ years of commercial accounts receivable and collections experience.
• Hands-on cash application, account reconciliation, and AR aging management.
• Ability to manage a high volume of commercial accounts and reduce past-due balances.
• Confident, professional phone presence with negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP/accounting software.

Responsabilidades

• Post and apply customer payments accurately and daily.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve unapplied cash, credits, and short payments.
• Submit invoices and track payment status through portals; verify PO/work order details.
• Own portfolios, review aging, and prioritize collections by balance and risk.
• Negotiate payments within guidelines and monitor commitments.
• Investigate billing discrepancies and resolve disputes to bring balances current.
• Maintain records of collection activity and report aging, DSO, and accounts at risk.
• Foster positive customer relationships and suggest process improvements.
