Job summary

GSM Outdoors is seeking a Collections Supervisor to lead the AR Collections team, drive timely cash collections, and resolve complex account issues. You will coach, develop, and step in personally to support collection activities while maintaining strong customer relationships and process improvements.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership of accounts, aging analysis, and reporting, with a hands-on leadership style in a fast-paced consumer products environment.

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years of experience managing a team of 5 or more.
• Strong Accounts Receivable and collections experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing collection activities across a large customer portfolio.
• Strong understanding of AR aging, customer payment terms, collections processes, claims, deductions, and account reconciliation.
• Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, coach, and develop the AR Collections team to improve performance and achieve department and company goals.
• Monitor daily and weekly team workflows and adjust priorities and assignments as needed.
• Ensure Collections Specialists are actively working their assigned customer accounts from top to bottom, addressing all outstanding activity.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to discuss performance and development.
• Provide timely coaching and performance feedback.
• Hold team members accountable for established goals and processes.
• Identify training needs and coordinate training to address gaps.
• Step in to manage collection activities when needed.
• Prepare bi-monthly AR aging reports and regular collection reports.
