Compactor Rentals of America is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to own a portfolio of accounts and act as a subject-matter expert within the AR team. The role focuses on timely collections, dispute resolution, and mentoring others while protecting revenue and cash flow.

You will collaborate with operations and leadership to drive collections, shape best practices, and support monthly reviews of delinquent accounts and portfolio risk.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of collections experience, including complex or high-risk accounts.
• Experience mentoring or guiding other team members.
• Positive attitude with a genuine focus on customer care.
• Independent, accountable, and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of accounts with aging reports to ensure timely collections.
• Escalate complex disputes and troubled accounts.
• Maintain strong customer relationships to protect sales and profitability.
• Resolve payment issues promptly and professionally.
• Lead advanced collection steps up to account closure as needed.
• Identify delinquency trends and suggest process improvements.
• Mentor junior staff and onboard new team members.
• Provide daily support to operations via email, phone, and in person.
• Review AR schedules and communicate actions to operations.
• Lead monthly reviews with leadership on delinquent accounts and portfolio risk.
• Exceed customer expectations with superior service.
