Qualifications

• Experience in cash application or accounts receivable in a corporate or financial setting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and cash application best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and general software.

Responsibilities

• Accurately apply incoming payments to customer accounts in the AR system.
• Reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve unapplied cash or variances promptly.
• Communicate with customers and internal departments to clarify payment issues.
• Process and post daily cash receipts, including checks and electronic payments.
• Maintain accurate records of cash application activities and update accounts.
• Assist month-end close by verifying payments are correctly applied.
• Identify and report unusual transactions or irregularities in processing.
