Job summary

Alliance Health at Marina Bay seeks an experienced AR Billing Office Manager to lead the AR Department, provide training to the office staff, and oversee billing, census, and daily SNF duties, including active payer billing.

You will manage deposits and cash posting for AR and PNA, work with families to collect private funds, and ensure compliance with MA Health, Medicare, and HMO billing rules.

Qualifications

• 5 years SNF or LTCH billing experience required.
• Proficiency in Matrix or PCC billing systems.
• Strong analytical skills required.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• FISS/DDE experience desirable.
• Experience with HMO payer portals.
• Waystar experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support AR staff and back up managers/directors.
• Handle billing, census, and daily SNF duties; actively bill payers.
• Manage deposits and cash posting for AR and PNA accounts.
• Ensure MA Health, Medicare, and HMO billing rules compliance.
• Liaise with families to collect private funds.
• Coordinate with Medicaid Application consultants and families.
• Collaborate with legal counsel on facility matters.
• Follow up and appeal payer claims.
• Mentor and train staff; build team confidence.
• Oversee A/P understanding and monthly cash collection; DSOs.
• Assist AR Director with monthly reporting and revenue verification.
• Prepare financial audits per auditor requests.

Job description

Alliance Health at Marina Bay is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AR Billing Office Manager to join our team. As the AR Billing Office Manager, you will be responsible for managing the AR Department and providing training to the office staff. You will also be responsible for billing, census, and everyday duties in a SNF, including active billing of some payers. Additionally, you will be responsible for separation of duties with deposits and cash posting for the AR and PNA Account, and will work with families/residents to collect private funds.

Responsibilities

• Support and back-up to the AR staff along with the other Managers and Directors within the facility
• Billing, census, and everyday duties in a SNF, including active billing of some payers
• Separation of duties with deposits and cash posting for the AR and PNA Account
• Full knowledge of the MA Health, Medicare, and HMO billing rules for SNF billing and collections
• Working with families/residents to collect private funds
• Knowledge of the Medicaid Application process to act as the liaison between the Medicaid Application Consultants and the families/facility
• Working with legal counsel on facility matters
• Following up and appealing all payer claims
• Strong ability to mentor and to teach/train
• Multitasking, problem solving, being a team player, and building staff confidence
• General understanding of the A/P process
• Addressing all AR issues, maintaining cash collection, and DSO goals on a monthly basis
• Assisting the AR Director with monthly reporting, month-end processes, including revenue verification, cash balancing, reports for the State
• Financial Audit preparation per Auditing Firms requests
