Job summary

Burnett Specialists seeks a detail-oriented Billing & Collections Accounts Receivable Clerk to support accounting operations and customer payment processes. You will process invoices, monitor receivables, and manage collection activities to maintain cash flow.

The ideal candidate communicates professionally with customers, reconciles discrepancies, and collaborates with Sales, Customer Service, and other departments to resolve billing issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or related accounting function.
• Experience submitting invoices through customer portals preferred.
• Strong understanding of billing processes, accounts receivable, and collection procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Billing & Invoice Processing: prepare and process customer invoices accurately and within deadlines.
• Accounts Receivable & Collections: monitor balances, conduct collections, document payments.
• Account Reconciliation & Customer Support: reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, respond to inquiries.
• Accounting Support & Collaboration: assist with cash applications and month-end close, collaborate with other departments.
