Job summary

Lipscomb Dealerships seeks an Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The role emphasizes accuracy in invoicing, disbursement processing, and revenue collection, with a focus on maintaining ledgers and internal controls.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master’s degree, 1–5 years in accounting, and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook. CPA or CPA candidacy is preferred. Excellent analytical and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or Master’s degree required with 1–5 years of public accounting or industry experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is required.
• Administrative writing, organization, data entry and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
• Pay invoices by verifying transaction information; schedule and prepare disbursements; obtain payment authorization.
• Obtain revenue by verifying transactions; compute charges and refunds; prepare and mail invoices.
• Collect revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintain ledgers by posting account transactions and reconciling statements.
• Resolve discrepancies by investigating documentation and issuing needed adjustments.
• Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Secure financial information by completing database backups.
• Maintain financial records by filing accounting documents.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
