Job summary

Genesee Scientific Corporation in Westland, MI is seeking an AP/AR & Inventory Coordinator to manage invoicing, payments, receipts, and inventory transactions with accuracy and timeliness. This role supports daily financial activities and helps ensure reliable inventory records for audit readiness.

You will set up vendors in the ERP, maintain vendor data, create and update material master data, assist AR/AP processes, and collaborate with the team to resolve discrepancies while meeting deadlines

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or related field.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP software; NetSuite a plus.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Team player who can also work independently and solve problems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end process of setting up new vendors in the ERP.
• Maintain and update existing vendor records for data quality.
• Create and manage new material/item master data in the ERP.
• Perform continuous maintenance on item master data as product specs change.
• Assist in the AR/AP process, including invoicing and account reconciliation.
• Support AR/AP team to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Serve as point of contact for vendors/customers on payment issues.
• Investigate and resolve invoice/payment discrepancies with internal/external parties.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Perform regular reconciliations of AR/AP subledger with the general ledger.
• Identify opportunities to improve AR/AP processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
