Job summary

Genesee Scientific in Westland, MI, seeks an AR/AP & Inventory Coordinator to support day-to-day AR/AP, vendor setup, and inventory data integrity. You will enter and reconcile transactions, maintain master data, and assist in month‑end activities.

The role requires good Excel skills, ERP familiarity, and a detail‑oriented, collaborative mindset, with 1+ year in AR/AP or related roles. On-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting/finance preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or related field.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with ERP systems; NetSuite a plus.
• Detail oriented with strong accuracy; able to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up new vendors in the ERP, collecting and validating required documentation.
• Maintain and update vendor records to ensure data quality.
• Create and manage new material/item master data in the ERP.
• Maintain item master data as product specs/status change.
• Assist in end-to-end AR/AP processes, including invoicing and reconciliations.
• Support AR/AP team to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Act as contact for vendors/customers on payment issues and discrepancies.
• Investigate invoice/payment discrepancies with internal/external parties.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Reconcile AR/AP subledgers with the general ledger.
• Identify opportunities to improve AR/AP processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain documentation for audit purposes.
