SpaceX is seeking an Accountant, AI Operations in Palo Alto, CA, to provide transactional and operational AR support while partnering with cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes customer‑facing service mindset, adherence to SOPs, and proactive process improvement.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in accounting, AR/ERP experience (NetSuite/Salesforce), and a Bachelor’s degree; CPA preferred. On-site role with strong compensation and rich benefits awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• 1+ years of accounting, AR/collections experience (internships count).
• CPA license or equivalent preferred.
• Hands-on with AR/ERP platforms (NetSuite, Salesforce) and accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the full AR/collections lifecycle including aging management, outreach, follow-up, disputes, and reconciliation.
• Execute collections per SOPs for billing, suspensions, and escalations.
• Assist with dunning workflows and engagement on past-due balances.
• Monitor DSO, aged balances, and maintain AR ledger accuracy.
• Serve as first point of contact for AR/collections via email and ticketing systems.
• Investigate and resolve inquiries; escalate when needed.
• Support de-escalation of billing disputes with a solutions-focused approach.
• Document customer interactions, disputes, and resolutions thoroughly.
• Collaborate with Billing, Deal Desk, Revenue Accounting, Sales, CS, and Legal to resolve issues.
• Provide AR data and support for monthly/quarterly close; flag escalation risks.
• Communicate accounts approaching thresholds for escalation or suspension.
• Surface trends and issues to leadership.
