SpaceX is seeking an Accountant to join its Finance organization in Hawthorne, CA. The role emphasizes accurate financial records, month-end close, variance analysis, and process improvements within a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years of accounting experience, and a CPA or equivalent credential is preferred. On-site work with opportunities for growth and long-term incentives are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years accounting experience required.
• CPA license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Support inventory, fixed assets, cost accounting, or other specialized areas as assigned.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual divisional balance sheet reconciliations.
• Collaborate with accounting staff to foster a supportive work environment.
• Work with Tax, FP&A, Financial Reporting, and other units to implement solutions.
• Collaborate with auditors to provide timely documentation.
• Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by management.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
