Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks an Accountant III for the AR Hotline CSR role. You will handle inbound calls regarding SNAP and TANF overpayments, verify accounts, and update client records using ARTS.

The position supports the Chief Financial Office's Accounting Department and requires accuracy and customer service excellence. Responsibilities include outbound inquiries, processing hearings and TOP/IG repayments, maintaining ARTS logs, and providing backup for related

Formación

• Experience in customer service or accounting roles preferred.
• Ability to work with numerical data and ensure accuracy.
• Experience with automated accounting or customer databases preferred.
• Strong written communications and deadline-driven reliability.

Responsabilidades

• Answer inbound calls from clients who were overpaid SNAP/TANF benefits and provide account information.
• Make outbound calls to provide account details and respond to inquiries.
• Process mail, address changes, and requests for client history.
• Process hearings, disputes, and repayment agreements for SNAP/TANF overpayments.
• Create and monitor client workflows in ARTS for claim changes and refunds.
• Assist with state reviews and ARTS password resets and file uploads.
• Back up ARTS tasks and provider claim setups as assigned.
• Cross-train in ARS processes and complete special assignments as directed.
