Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission in Austin, TX is seeking an Accountant III - AR Voucher to join the AR Voucher Reporting Team. This is a regular, on-site role focusing on accurate accounts receivable processing across ARTS, CAPPS, and USAS.

You will analyze discrepancies, process daily revenue transactions, reconcile journals, and respond to inquiries. The position offers full-time benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge and procedures affecting the maintenance of accounting records and automated accounting systems.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting laws and regulations pertaining to financial operations.
• Skill in using a computer and applicable software.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to interpret accounting theory and apply it to Revenues/AR balances.
• Experience with CAPPS Financials, PeopleSoft, ARTS, USAS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze discrepancies between ARTS, CAPPS & USAS; reconcile data across systems.
• Process daily revenue transactions and record in the systems (ARTS, CAPPS, USAS).
• Review and reconcile journal documents and maintain accurate records.
• Respond to inquiries related to the AR Voucher Unit from internal/external sources.
• Work on special projects and support AR management as needed.
