Town of Groton is seeking a Program Director, Aquatics to lead the broad range of aquatic activities in Groton Parks & Recreation. The role includes supervising staff, planning programs, and ensuring safety and accessibility for all participants.

Strong communication and reporting skills are required. The position is part-time on Saturdays (up to 10 hours per week) with a starting rate of $23.00 per hour and a range up to $24.75 per hour, located in Groton, CT.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with people of all ages and maintain discipline.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Lifeguard Certification and swim lesson experience strongly desired.
• Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle license.
• Background checks and accommodation process may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement aquatics programs for diverse participants.
• Supervise aquatics staff and ensure safety and quality.
• Manage operation of the aquatics facility and schedules.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and maintain records.
