Job summary

Town of Groton's Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a qualified swimming instructor to lead lessons for children of all ages and skill levels, focusing on proper swimming technique, stroke development, and water safety. This part-time position offers Saturday hours 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a starting rate of $19.00 per hour and a maximum of $20.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Strong swimming skills are a must.
• WSI certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Driver's license preferred.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Are you a strong swimmer with a passion for working with children?

We7re looking for a qualified and enthusiastic swimming instructor to lead lessons for children of all ages and skill levels. This role focuses on teaching proper swimming techniques, stroke development, essential water safety skills, and basic rescue skills.

The ideal candidate will be able to accept direction, maintain discipline and respect among program participants, and build positive relationships with both children and program staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong swimming skills are a must! A current Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification or equivalent experience is preferred.

A valid motor vehicle operators license is preferred.
