Job summary

The Town of Groton, Parks and Recreation Department, is seeking an Assistant Swimming Instructor for Saturdays from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, up to 5 hours per week. The starting rate is $17.00 per hour with a position range of $17.00 – $18.75 per hour.

• Must possess a strong swimming ability and be comfortable in a pool environment.
• Knowledge of pool safety rules, regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to take direction well and maintain a positive, structured, and safe learning environment.
• Criminal background checks and driving record checks required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and safe swimming lessons for children of various ages and skill levels.
• Work alongside the Lead Swimming Instructor to support lesson delivery.
