Job summary

The Old Colony Y in Brockton, MA seeks an Aquatic Director to lead lifeguard teams, supervise swim lessons, and ensure safe, clean aquatic facilities in alignment with the Y's mission. You will recruit, train and evaluate staff, manage budgets, and collaborate with branch leadership to deliver high-quality water safety programs for all members and program participants.

Qualifications

• Team Leader Certification from Y-USA or actively working towards it.
• Ellis LG & LGI, ARC WSI/WSIT, Vangaard Supervisor Training within required timelines.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of related supervisory work experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must be physically able to teach aquatic lessons and lift an adult male from the pool to the pool deck.
• Complete program orientation training by required timeline.

Responsibilities

• Lead a staff of lifeguards ensuring optimal guarding during operating hours.
• Conduct swim lessons and water safety programming.
• Submit in-service records, swim testing, incident reporting and safety plans.
• Coordinate pool usage with program departments.
• Open and close pool per checklist and maintain equipment.
