Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston seeks an Associate Director of Aquatics in Waltham to lead aquatic programming and staff. You will supervise lifeguards and instructors, help develop budgets, and ensure safe, quality programs in a dynamic community setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, YMCA Lifeguarding certification, and at least two years of related experience. Some evenings, weekends, and travel for trainings may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must have YMCA Lifeguarding certification; cross-over to YMCA certification within six months if Red Cross certified.
• At least two years of experience in instruction and management of Aquatics programs and pool maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent member service and engage with members to understand goals.
• Recruit, schedule and supervise lifeguards and instructors.
• Develop and monitor Aquatics budget with Aquatic Director.
• Plan and schedule program facilities for smooth daily operations.
• Teach or guard up to 20 hours per week and assist with registration.
